Q+A with Brooke

How would you describe what you do to a kindergarten class?

I make juice for a living. Think of all your favorite fruits and vegetables, as well as ones you may not like. My job is to blend them together in a fun and tasty way in order to drink fruits and veggies that help your body and brain grow.

What advantages and challenges have you experienced as a female founder/CEO in your industry?

As a female CEO, I have had the beautiful ability to help young women into positions of power and management. I love seeing women rise in a work environment, not only to help their personal confidence but the ability to pass that confidence down to others. Creating a female-based business has been a huge part of my management style that I am so proud of.
As for the disadvantages of being a female CEO, I am met with a few blocking points in areas of banking. I also deal with some unfavorable situations regarding harassment, not only with me personally but my young female staff.

If you could go back in time to when you were about to start your company, what advice would you give yourself? What would you say to avoid? What would you say to go for?

The only advice I would give myself is that everything is temporary. The continuous work towards your dreams will be never-ending so keep pushing, do not take “No” for an answer. Avoid wasting time on situations that drain you, not only creatively but spiritually. You will not align with everyone, and it is okay to take steps back in relationships to protect your personal growth. You are also responsible for the health and wellness of the company so maintaining that level of positivity for the brand is hard, but you need to put the brand wellbeing at the forefront of decision making.

What guidance or advice would you offer to fellow female founders/CEOs?

Go For It! You will spend the time working, studying, growing and expanding regardless of the road ahead. You can either do it working towards something you love or not. The world is constantly in motion so be sure that motion is something you are proud of working towards. Just open, launch, post, build—whatever you need to do to get started.

A press release is going to every major outlet about your business this time next year, what will it say?

Kaleidoscope Juice is a fun, positive, customer centric brand that continues to grow throughout the US in all aspects of wellness.

What do you absolutely love about your job?

I love that my job is centered around fueling people to be the best versions of themselves. Our goal is always to give a positive moment in someone's day that transcends outside the store into their work, home, and personal life. We know that what you eat directly impacts how you feel, being able to fuel the public with transparent and high quality food gives me great joy [and allows us] to continue our mission.

What’s your secret super power?

I would like to think my secret super power is that I love my work, so I feel like I can do it all the time. I genuinely enjoy the people around me, so hiring and holding people in our upper management team make my job very fun. I look forward to seeing the people I work with find joy in their wins. The environment we have built and operate in, is our company superpower.
